PSV License Course FAQ

 

How long is the course duration?

The course lasts for 6 hours. Please note that the course will be conducted in Bahasa Malaysia.

  • For Selangor and Johor Bahru: Registration begins at 8:00 am and closes at 8:45 am. Latecomers will not be allowed to enter the class.
  • For Penang: Registration begins at 8:30 am and closes at 9:15 am. Latecomers will not be allowed to enter the class.

 

When will I receive my confirmation/reminder?

You will receive a confirmation email and an SMS reminder at least 1 day before your training date, so please check your email and SMS.

 

What should I bring to the course?

The most important item to bring is your MyKad (Identification Card) as we need to register your fingerprint.

Please wear appropriate attire (long pants, sports shoes, t-shirts). Shorts, slippers, and sandals are not allowed for the PSV Training.

Other items are optional.

 

How will I know when my account is ready for training/event participation?

After successful registration, you will receive a confirmation email from Grab at least 1 day before your training.

 

What happens if my account status is blocked?

Please check your email regarding the blocked status issue.

After receiving the blocked account notification email, you’ll get a follow-up email from Grab requesting your bank account details to start the refund process. (Please refer to our PSV Training Refund Policy for more details.)

 

What should I do after the course?

As announced by the government, the PSV Exam is no longer required effective April 11, 2023.

To get your PSV license at JPJ, please prepare the following documents:

  1. JPJL8A medical check-up form (click here to download) - Bring this form to the clinic for a medical check-up, attach it with the clinic-stamped and signed receipt.
  2. JPJL2C certificate - 1 copy (provided after PSV Training).
  3. Registration Information certificate - 1 copy (provided after PSV Training).
  4. Photocopy of MyKad (front & back) - 1 copy.
  5. Photocopy of driving license (front & back) - 1 copy.
  6. Profile photo 22mm x 32mm (white background) - 2 copies.
  7. RM20 - payment for PSV license.

Once you have all the documents, go to any JPJ branch in Selangor, Johor Bahru, or Penang (excluding UTC) to obtain your PSV license.

 

Do you have a panel clinic for the JPJ Medical Check-up?

  • For Selangor: Yes, we do! Our panel clinic is located at GDC Axis, and you must make an appointment for the medical check-up. Visit grb.to/PSVMC to make your appointment for the medical check-up. The Medical Check-up Fee is RM50.

  • For Penang and Johor Bahru: We do not have a panel clinic in Penang or Johor Bahru. However, you may go to any clinic and bring the JPJL8A Form (click this link grb.to/MCF to download and print the form) to the clinic.

 

How can I request a refund for my PSV Training Fee?

Please note that the PSV Training Fee is non-refundable unless there is a valid reason. Please submit your request at grb.to/PSVHelp for assistance.

 

How long does the PSV Training Fee refund process take?

The refund process typically takes 3 to 4 weeks upon receiving your complete bank details.
